How to organize your LinkedIn post ideas...
Do you need to organize your LinkedIn post ideas?
Do you have trouble remembering which drafts are finished and which need to be written or edited?
Here’s how you can use Notion to solve this problem:
In Notion, you can view entries in a database as cards in a Kanban board, where there are columns for each category. You can drag and drop the pages between the columns.
When organizing posts, each column can be a stage of completion.
For example
✔️ One column is for ideas.
✔️ One is for incomplete drafts.
✔️ One is for completed drafts to be posted.
✔️ One is for recently published posts, to access easily.
✔️ And the final is for your post archive, once you don’t need the post anymore.
You can move each post from one to the other as you write, edit, and publish.
It will be a way to visually represent your assembly line of LinkedIn content.
This will help you plan when to write, edit, and publish your posts.
In other contexts, you can use Kanban boards for teams.
✅ Each column represents a different team.
✅ The pages under them are the tasks or projects they were assigned.
✅ Tasks and projects can be sent or switched from one team to another.
✅ You can set up notifications whenever a page is moved across teams.
Fun fact!
Kanban is a Japanese word that translates to “signboard”. It is a system developed by a Toyota industrial engineer to run manufacturing more efficiently. It is named after Kanban cards which are messages that signal a shortage of inventory. A Kanban system will signal to a supplier when a set of parts is missing.
The point of this system is to limit inventory overflow and shortages at every part of the manufacturing process to find and reduce inefficiencies.
This is why in Notion’s Kanban boards:
✅ Pages are in the form of cards.
✅ Each column is a different step in the process.
✅ The board is visualized in a way where you can see what is missing.
