I have no idea what to write about today. I still have to post though.
So I’m gonna embarrass myself! 😄
Somehow, I’ve run out of ideas. I say somehow because it shouldn’t be possible. So I realized I’ve been lacking on the research side of this. How am I gonna know what to write about if I don’t learn stuff?
It might not be a good idea to write a post about how lazy I am but at least I’m keeping myself accountable. The past few days I’ve missed the afternoon post because LinkedIn doesn’t work on my phone and I don’t have my computer at work.
I’ve been writing 3 posts a day. Two of them (at 9 am and 3 pm) are quotes from various sources, and one (at noon) is a post about Notion.
Every few days, I have a day off from work. So I try to get ahead on posts, but I always end up running out of posts and rushing to write the next one. For example, I’m writing this at 11:30 and I will post this in 30 minutes.
So how am I so disorganized when I’m supposed to be a “Notion productivity expert”? I don’t know. I use the LinkedIn content tracker for my posts all the time. I also use some other “second brain” systems for my general life. The problem is I don’t use them to their full capabilities. I forget about them sometimes, which makes me feel like a hypocrite.
I even got a whiteboard to keep in front of me so that I don’t have to rely on technology but the one task that I have on there isn’t even getting completed.
So yeah, I’m bad at this.
BUUUUUT, what am I gonna do about it? I can’t just end the post here, that would bum everyone out. So here’s what I’m gonna do:
1️⃣ Study
Study to organize myself before I tell others how to be organized. And maybe my posts will reflect things that I’m trying out and things that work or don’t work for me.
So more specifically, I’m going to try to just learn one new productivity or Notion strategy per day and test it out. This can mean watching one or two YouTube videos or reading a chapter of a book. Then that will be what I can write about.
2️⃣ Sleep
I have to sleep more. I have a bad habit of staying up longer than I need to. It’s not like I’m doing anything.
More specifically: Regardless of what I’m doing, I’m gonna drop everything at 10 pm and sleep within an hour. More sleep = more brain power = more ideas to write about.
3️⃣ Reminders
I already have reminders on my phone to post at certain times. So since that’s working, I’m gonna do that for other things too. I’m not sure if Notion can give notifications too, I’ll have to look into that.
I’ll set reminders to plan my day, update my system, update my whiteboard, and any other habits I want to keep.
